First Reconcilation and First Communion
Preparation for the First Sacraments is a two-year program starting in the 1st grade. The Sacraments of First Reconciliation (Confession) and First Communion (Eucharist) are received during 2nd grade, with First Reconciliation typically celebrated in November and First Communion in April or May.
Our goal is to help children grow in their love for Jesus while discovering the beauty of God’s mercy, love, and presence in the Sacraments.
Enrollment: Your child is automatically enrolled in sacramental preparation when they register for PSR in 1st and 2nd grade.
Classes: Sundays at 10:00 -11:15 AM
If your child is older than the typical grade level, it’s not too late! Please email [email protected] or call 205-871-1431 so we can help you determine the best path for your child. PSR registration for the 2026-2027 year has closed. Please contact the PSR office at via the email and phone number above to inquire about late registration.
